A weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
I’m not a huge fan of the topic this week. Most of the books I read are not what I would consider ‘light & fun’. Most of them have quite a bit of drama and get me emotionally fired up! BUT.. those are the things that make a book fun to read, so here are 10 books that I can always count on to put me in a good mood.
In no particular order…..
This is pretty obvious to anyone that loves Jane Austen. She is my literary comfort food.
(Cassandra Clare) I was first introduced to the Shadowhunter world through this book. I fell in love and I can’t help but smile when I read it!
(Katie McGarry) This may sound crazy considering I haven’t finished this one yet, but seriously, Noah freaking Hutchins. Bad boy. Tattoos. Sexy as hell. Rescuer of damsels in distress. MINE.
(Leila Howland) This is a new one for me as well… in fact, it is being released TODAY so go buy it!! It is full of teenage drama and written in a way that is brilliantly honest! Plus it is funny and takes place in a beautiful setting!
(Richelle Mead) I shouldn’t need to explain myself. This series owns me. I can read them over and over again. I dogeared the crap out of these books. Can’t get enough.
(Veronica Roth) This book is killer. It makes me feel dauntless! It is incredibly unique and has the ability to suck you in and leave you begging for more!
(Richelle Mead) Again, this should be obvious. I wasn’t ready to let go of Vampire Academy when it ended– and these books are not aaaas good (is anything though??), but they leave most other books in the dust.
(Cassandra Clare) Those Shadowhunters again…. they steal my heart every time. The Infernal Devices were even better than The Mortal Instruments. Will and Tess are epic.
(Ann Aguirre) This book is super cool. Deuce destroys. The world is complete craziness and it is written in a way that allows me to see everything so clearly in my head. Lots of action!! (and romance if you like that sort of thing- ha!)
(Veronica Rossi) Oh my goodness—– Perry and Aria. Holy crap these books are good. They are intense with just the right amount of romance, action, tears, and drama! I am deeply invested in this series! Dyiiing for book 3!

Some of you may chuckle considering this isn’t my obvious cup of tea…
Regardless… I have always loved anything by:
